Hoteikan Community

There have been many stories about how the System got started. Some say it was formed in 1967, while others say it began in Brooklyn, N.Y. in the 1970s. Actually, the System as we know it today was started back in 1974.

The Hoteikan System has always looked for ways to give back to the community. Our Brooklyn, NY Dojo partcipates in the annual City street festivals, Our Senior Sensei's have all devoted their time and expertise to our Men and Women of the Armed forces. We have done seminars and exhibitions around the world. The picture above was for the opening of the World Trade Center, it portrays the late Grandmaster Bob Hasman with Sensei John Reddick.

We devote ourselves to be being more of a family than a System, and this is what sets us apart from many other organizations. Many of our workshops are open to other Martial Artists that want to learn and participate in an atmosphere of Martial Arts comradery.
